The Ekal Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to education and village development in rural India. Operating in over 27,000 villages and educating over 800,000 children, it initiates and runs informal one-teacher schools, popularly known as Ekal Vidyalayas.
With the participation of numerous NGO’s this program has now become the largest non-government education movement in the country.
